Im looking for the best live versions of the song '1977'. Can anyone suggest any?

Did they play it at that Leicester gig in 77? That's a good quality recording.

The Mont de Marsan festival version is pretty hectic.

Has anyone ever compiled a 'best live version' for each song? Is that a worthwhile exercise, or is it a waste of time?

Yes, I can see that. I expected there had been a thread, and I could imagine it quickly coming apart.

Leicester 5/28/77. Shit hot, a SBD recording, and Joe changes up his vocal delivery a little bit from the typical rendition.
