Hello,

Where's the dance floor?
Richard Jobson took it all. Besides the audience are far to old for shaking a hoof. Two old lads jumped up and punched the air during "Albert Tatlock" and needed assistance afterwards. That'll be fortnight on the Pat'n'Mick for them.

I finally got the chance to see Jason Isbell live on Saturday. He's become my favorite singer-songwriter these days. His lyrics cut me to the core and he plays a mean guitar. I'd had a bad run of missing his shows due to other things coming up, so made sure to seize the opportunity this time - even if it meant a 4 hour drive to Grand Rapids, Michigan... though having Willie Nelson on the bill helped make the drive easier.

Went to see Richard Hawley last night at Durham Cathedral. Fantastic setting for an artist such as him. The sound and acoustics were excellent.
Oh........................................................ and we bumped into Johnny Green at the doorway into church
Yes. That Johnny Green.

Haven't seen the Circle Jerks in many, many years, but I'm sure they still put on a pretty raucous show.

Sounds good. Have a notion of Richard Hawley that he's much better live than on record but will have to delve deeper at some stage.

He is very faithful to the recorded versions when he does them live. Not sure if that's up your street or not.

I honestly keep meaning to listen to him more but just never get round to it for whatever reason. Anytime i see him playing live on tv, whether glastonbury or jools holland or somewhere, i always think he sounds pretty good.

Great show. I saw someone wearing the Sparky t-shirt too. I even ventured into the pit for Wild in the Streets for the first time in close to 30 years.
