Girl on the Planet is fine, doesn't do anything for me but I do like to knock it becasue of that whole trumpian election thing we had.Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 12:32pmI like both equally. Presume you mean Another Girl, Another Planet by The Only Ones. Is their any relevance of that song to Paranoid or am I missing something here?

Did we ever poll them off against each other? I just can't believe any fan of guitar music wouldn't find AGAP absolutely brilliant.Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 12:32pmI like both equally. It was when we were doing that game of picking the best first song on an album, then second, etc, for a fake best-of comp. Those two got matched up and "Paranoid" lost because we live in cursed times.Heston wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 1:58pmDid we ever poll them off against each other? Didnt Paranoid actually win at first but because some people couldn't abide by the results they stormed the capitol and forced another election while members of the Another Planet Girl Junta were bribing and threatening people to vote for the inferior song.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 2:02pmIt was when we were doing that game of picking the best first song on an album, then second, etc, for a fake best-of comp. Re: Covers That Better the Original
No, "Bodies" won the first time, but for some reason something went wonky—I think Wally invented a rule that a band could only be represented once and another Pistols song won already—so instead of letting "Paranoid," which finished second, be the choice, he reopened nominations and "Paranoid" went up against "Another Girl" and finished second again. Never should have gone to a second vote, but, well, IMCT polls.revbob wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 2:28pmDidnt Paranoid actually win at first but because some people couldn't abide by the results they stormed the capitol and forced another election while members of the Another Planet Girl Junta were bribing and threatening people to vote for the inferior song.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 2:02pmIt was when we were doing that game of picking the best first song on an album, then second, etc, for a fake best-of comp.
