Skimmed through this out of curiosity. I guess was when Carl was the leader.
Either way, Mike starts talking in Spanish and says he's happy to be in Madrid. He's in Paris. He also does some real bizarre grunting at the beginning of I Get Around.

I picked up Etta James' 1998 album, Seven Year Itch, from a thrift store sometime last Fall and finally gave it a spin last night. Alright stuff - Etta is a great talent, this is for-her-career latter day "comeback" record - but I thought it was interesting to note that the album was produced by none other than Ricky Fataar (who also drummed on some of the album). Nice little connection to one of my favorite Beach Boys lineups.

Is anyone here a member of the Mike Love is a Douchebag Facebook group? A friend of mine says there's a picture of a quilt that a fan of his made that includes all his touring band. I guess you have to be a member to see posts, so I'm shut out.

I don't think this may belong here, I thought there was a more general Beach Boys thread, and it's not about Mike Love and a van - but thought people who like the Beach Boys may be interested in hearing this. I'm a Los Straitjackets fan and enjoyed it - the song and video are timely.
