Yeah, that Burroughs track is depressing as hell - great for a holiday party!

Flex's 25 Days of Christmas (Songs), Day 9: Sly & Robbie - Taxi X'Mas Medley

Original Release: Sly & Robbie Present Taxi Christmas
Year: 1991

In honor of Robbie Shakespeare's passing, here's (I believe) the only holiday album released under the Sly & Robbie name. It's really a lengthy medley with various artists, with Robbie on bass and Sly & Robbie producing and arranging. Kind of an interesting track.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Pex Lives!

Flex's 25 Days of Christmas (Songs), Day 10: Bad Religion - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

Original Release: Christmas Songs
Year: 2013

We've featured a few songs off this album in the past, this might be the most fast and ripping one from the LP. Loud/Fast/Rules/Christmas
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Pex Lives!

That Monkees Christmas album is pretty good, far better than it had any right to be considering. Again, RIP to Mike. The Upstarts never did a holiday tune, so we're back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Flex's 25 Days of Christmas (Songs), Day 11: Boris - Last Christmas

Original Release: Noël
Year: 2021

Japanese heavy rockers Boris pummel the Wham golden moldy in noise and feedback, but with delicate vocals and touches that create an interesting holiday sound. Christmas release of 2021, imho.

Addendum: I suspect, in particular, this may be of interest to Doc and Kory.

I really, really, really (very much) don't like that song, but this cover is the best salvage job possible. Enough so that I'm going to see what else they've done. Thanks!

Here's another new one.

Flex's 25 Days of Christmas (Songs), Day 12: The Scotch Bonnets - Winter Reggae Party

Original Release: Ring The Bells / Winter Reggae Party
Year: 2021

Another new Christmas song. B-Side off a split single with The Skapones (may feature them this year - last I checked the song was still not up anywhere digitally). Fun little tune. If you gotta stay at home, have yourself a winter reggae party!
