I'm listening to Exile on Main Street and drinking rum while preparing for a proper hurricane.

We're lucky because we're go a couple of serious barriers between us and the sea (the Amtrak corridor is a raised wall and Long Island is a natural dampener) . We're under 25 feet above sea level which is pretty low but the foundation is a pile of rocks and there's not much to lose in the basement. There are not too many trees around to cause trouble either. We're got food, propane to cook with, friendly neighbors, and a car to flee northbound if this starts to look like a straight punch.

like Bono ruins anything good about U2, Jagger does about the Stones—
I can't even

my rule is that if the Beatles have broken up, I don't care about what the Stones have done.
So Yoko ruined TWO bands
Im kind of on the same page as Doc. I like some early songs, a greatest hits from the early years would do me just fine but certainly by probably 75 if not sooner it was all garbage.

Although I hate Jagger less than Richards.

Paint it Black and Sympathy for the Devil are two out of a handful that I wouldn't change the station on.

the stones rule
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

That's CROSSFIRE HURRICANE.

And "Luxury" from 1974 lyric all your rum I want to drink it, all your whiskey too

There really is a Stones song for every type of drinking/drugging one might want to do.

Lots of good stuff right there. I'm always a bit surprised when I think about how many of their albums I've managed to collect on vinyl. It was never something I set out to do, but pretty much since I started digging through used record crates 20 plus years ago, whenever I'd see a Stones LP at a decent price I'd just grab it.

Underrated Stones songs? Here are a couple I like from under the radar. I'll pick one from every LP (I'll go with their British discography):

The Rolling Stones: Mona (I Need You Baby)
The Rolling Stones No. 2: Down the Road Apiece
Out of Our Heads: Heart of Stone
Aftermath: It's Not Easy
Between the Buttons: Who's Been Sleeping Here?
Their Satanic Majesties: Citadel
Beggars Banquet: Factory Girl
Let It Bleed: Monkey Man
Sticky Fingers: Bitch
Exile: Torn and Frayed
Goat's Head Soup: Winter
It's Only Rock 'n Roll: Fingerprint File
Black and Blue: Hey Negrita
Some Girls: When the Whip Comes Down
Emotional Rescue: Let Me Go
Tattoo You: Slave
Undercover: Undercover of the Night
Dirty Work: Had It With You
Steel Wheels: Almost Hear You Sigh
Voodoo Lounge: Brand New Car
Bridges to Babylon: How Can I Stop
A Bigger Bang: Rough Justice
Honorable Mention: Ride On, Baby

I've always really liked this one. It's also a fine example of why Charlie was so integral to their sound. It's a ballad, but he gets you to dial into the groove and tap your feet.

Possibly. I think anything not known to the casual fan (someone who just knows the hits). Heartbreaker for sure.
