I love Brown Sugar, but whatever, they have a deep enough catalog that they could drop anything and it not be missed. It's not like it's 1971 and it's gone form 50 years of future touring. How many shows do the Stones have left in them, a dozen?

Charlie was their active drummer yes, and he died shortly before the rescheduled tour started. I think it was first postponed when Mick had heart surgery, then again from covid? Anyway, they found a quick replacement. Mick and Keith are the only originals, Woody has been there since 1976. Bill (bass player) is still alive, but he retired long ago. I think he was a few years older than the rest of the guys.

I know they're the never say never type, but how do they not call this tour "The Last Time"? Maybe 2025, I guess.

OK, I went to night one, so let's see... I'd take Street Fightin Man over Lets Spend the Night, but only by a small margin. Rocks Off beats All Down the Line, so thats a win for me. Beast of Burden over Get Off My Cloud for sure, and I'd take Ruby Tuesday over Wild Horses, so it looks like a toss up until Keith. I actually couldn't believe he played Slippin Away, I slipped away to the bar and it cost me twenty three bucks. Before they make me Run wins that by a mile, so Sunday, the night i didn't go, wins by a neck.

Stranglers drummer Jet Black retired at 79. He's now 83.
Charlie Harper is still fronting the U.K. Subs he's 77.

Hello,

Many ask the question "Should the Stones still tour?" from the perspective of the fan. If Keith or Mick really enjoy playing for people, screw it...I'm touring. If they happen to make a sizable chunk of change, that's nice - but really, I wouldn't think none of them need the funds. If they still get a kick out of touring, more power to them.

I would agree with you, if they're genuinely enjoying themselves, which they appear to be, then more power to them, Keep on playing.

Totally agree, if they still love playing and people are still willing to shell out money to see them play, good on em!

I agree. When I saw them in Nashville, it was clear that they were still enjoying the experience of being up on stage. Lots of smiles and laughter and goofing around.

They apparently also wove a few Prince songs in last night, too. Very cool.
