Heh.
Swear they cancelled one when he fell out of a coconut tree?
They postponed for the coconut tree and also postponed gigs during Babylon tour after he fell in his library and was nearly crushed to death under a pile of books. I guess at least when it's Keith's fault there is an insane story behind it!

I'm glad I won't be posting a youtube video of "Complicated"

Interesting. Mick (Jagger) escaped Joe's fate, it seems: https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity- ... r-14246754

Say what you will about Jagger, I watched a bit of the new Netflix Stones piece and he's as good a frontman as ever he was.

Are there actually people who dispute this?

ETA: I totally read this incorrectly. I thought you said "as there ever was." Nevermind.

I dispute what you thought Maj had said. I like the Stones despite Jagger rather than because of him. It's like watching an aerobics class rather than a rock and roll show at times. If Keith Richards could have sang Jagger's parts whilst playing guitar I would have found them a more attractive proposition.

I've said it on here before, but I much prefer his London School of Economics vocals on songs like Mothers Little Helper compared to his pretending to be a puking blues frog from Mississippi.

Richards - No Jagger

= Strummer - No Jones.

I read they played "Mercy Mercy" for the first time in 50 years a few nights ago.

Yeah! Hoping it stays in the set, I have Tix for Denver.

it's the deeper cuts I wanna hear when I see them, in 2016 at Desert Trip the one I flipped out for more than any on the entire set was "Sweet Virginia"

Yup, in DC. Here ya be (also with the greatest song ever written - "Rocks Off", obviously. Plus "You Can't Always Get What You Want").

If I ever met them I'd be like "hey, play "Out of Time", "Dandelion", "She Said Yeah", "Miss Amanda Jones", & "Have You Seen Your Mother".

No shit, but as Mick says in that video right before "Rocks Off" and the fan-vote in general - "Half of them I've never heard of, but I'm sure we recorded them..."
