“CALIFORNIA SON” is yellow...like the sun. Wow. And the title isn’t as puntastic as “Your Arsenal.”Marky Dread wrote: ↑04 Mar 2019, 8:32amWhich is exactly the point. Re: The All Smiths/Morrissey Thread
The cover looks pretty slapdash, but knowing he's a pop culture geek I wonder if that wasn't maybe on purpose? This new LP is a cover album and maybe he was going for a cheap K-TEL look? Those covers were always thrown together and poorly designed. The stereo call out in the corner looks vintage and the font also screams K-TEL. I've actually liked many of his recent sleeves. Maladjusted was awful - but he corrected that years later when he re-released it.
Honestly - I'm just very psyched to hear Moz cover Gary Puckett's "Lady Willpower"!

I agree. I think he was going for a specific look with this cover.Marky Dread wrote: ↑04 Mar 2019, 8:32amWhich is exactly the point. California Sun is an original by The Rivieras. The Ramones was a cover version.

Absolutely fuck this grotesque nazi shithead:
Morrissey is indistinguishable from a neo-nazi at this point.

I readily admit to interpreting charitably some of his more eyebrow-raising lyrics because of what seemed like a larger desire for compassion and acceptance of the shy and the odd, but I see no point in continuing to do so.

Okay here goes. In some ways I am glad he is wearing that badge becuase what that does is make a far greater statement than being the casual racist he has appeared to be in recent times. His support for Tommy Robinson is the final nail in the coffin for me. He crossed a very thin line with this stuff in the past but now he has nailed his colours fully to the mast. Morrissey you are dead to me.
