I like Boz too, but I fear that he's running out of steam as a collaborator. He and Jesse don't really cut the Alain mustard, though I am liking the newer stuff. It may be that the keyboardist (whose name escapes me) has a stronger hand in the writing these days.
Co-writers for the new songs:

My Love, I'd Do Anything For you - Mando Lopez
I Wish You Lonely - Boz Boorer
Jacky's Only Happy When She's Up on the Stage - Boz Boorer
Home Is a Question Mark - Mando Lopez
Spent the Day in Bed - Gustavo Manzur
I Bury the Living - Jesse Tobias
In Your Lap - Gustavo Manzur
The Girl from Tel-Aviv Who Wouldn't Kneel - Gustavo Manzur
All the Young People Must Fall in Love - Boz Boorer
When You Open Your Legs - Jesse Tobias
Who Will Protect Us from the Police? - Boz Boorer
Israel - Gustavo Manzur

Mando Lopez = 2 / 12
Boz = 4 / 12
Gustavo Manzur = 4 / 12
Jesse Tobias = 2 /12

Got to say, Boz has written half of my top ten Morrissey solo songs (Now My Heart Is Full; Speedway; Jack the Ripper to name but three)
Yeah, it may just be my disappointment with the last album that is coloring my Boz view. Years of Refusal still had Alain songs on it even though he didn't play, so his complete departure on World Peace seemed more shocking.

Speedway is unbelievably good

Agree on Boz. He's been co-writer on some of my fave tracks. Interesting that he used 4 different co-writers on this album - with nobody really getting the lion's share.

Without traumatizing the Springsteen fans—look away, look away now! read no further! upsetting words might be ahead!—this is true, at least on aesthetic grounds. Politically, Moz has been walking the Il Douchey line for quite some time now, whereas Springsteen is just a boring old fluffy liberal.

However, is Kory > Hoy? You've both got that weird pizza thing going, which really clouds everything to my superficial brain.

I certainly wouldn't argue this. I am a fan of both artists but for me any such glory days are a long time back. Every now and then they will produce some good work.As to the politics of any artist these days who has served their time over the years I find them all a let down and a bore

I think Wrecking Ball is a better album than Born to Run.

Sounds crazy to me but I respect your choice.

I'm loving the first 5 songs but am tempted to skip I Bury the Living and In Your Lap - maybe I'll warm up to them. I like The Girl from Tel-Aviv but I'm not sure it fits in on the album - perhaps would have been better as a b-side. A decent 7 or 8 out of 10 for me

Yes you both have ginger hair and were eating some strange pizza muffin. The only way I could tell which one was you Kory, was by your extremely dirty feet.

I'm going to overlook the foot comment because you just invented the pizza muffin for me. I'll be eternally grateful.
