I thought the Libertines were massively overrated. 2 classic songs and a lot of huffing and puffing.
Which 2?
Can't Stand Me Now and Don't Look Back Into the Sun.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Don't Look Back is overrated to be fair, though Can't Stand Me Now is a brilliant piece of work. Carl and Pete complement each other so well, and that guitar solo at the end with the harmonica, spot on.

This is the stupidest fade in the history of television programming. The band were at their peak and on fire. I remember watching it at my mate's house pissed and we were jumping about all over the room, then it just ended abruptly. Fucking idiots...

Yeah that ending was shit, studio version was much better though to be fair.

They usually are but I thought their ramshackleness worked well here.

I read somewhere that Doherty turned 40 recently. Now that was a jug of ice water slamming into your face in the AM.

I struggle to find 2 Libertines songs I don’t think are classic.

Hello,

When people ask how old I am, I give them a Satchel Paige quote: "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?"

I'd be somewhere between 13 and 70, depending on questions posed to me.

Emotionally? Probably about 17.

My knees? 83.

It was more a passing of time thing than an "old" thing!
