My street is adjacent to a major thoroughfare but has a huge drop a little after our house so it doesn’t get a lot of traction.

I’ve been doing seven years and two houses of full size candy bars and have yet to become “that house” that legends are made of.

You need to stop blasting Springsteen it scares the little ones. And likely more than a few parents as well.

It only takes one kid who realizes that they're masked up and that it qualifies as trick and treat to dump the bowl in their bag. Surely there must be one little asshole in the neighbourhood.

Yeah. I’m usually out with the kids, so best I can do is leave a bowl. It’s always empty when we get back. I’m certain kids just empty the bowl, but I’d rather have an empty bowl out front than be known as the neighbor who doesn’t take part in trick or treat.

Im always amused by people who do this and are dismayed that someone took all of the candy.
