Love the energy in this, Midge really was quite good...

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Midge was and is a brilliant guitar player. If you listen to "Vienna" the first Ultravox album with Midge on tracks like "New Europeans" "Passing Strangers" "Sleepwalk" you can hear Midge's guitar and it's obvious link from the Rich Kids sound to the New Romantics. Rich Kids were the missing link between punk and new romantic. Midge's earlier band Slik were no slouches either.

It fits the criteria

Yeah, The Beastie Boys were great too, good to see em playing instruments, loads of energy, RIP and respect to MCA.
As a Manchester United fan I feel I have to post this.

And my youtube poster can a least spell Penalty.......ner.
Well your post did match the criteria as well, it was live and it was Grate

Dexys. Tell me when my light turns green.

I particularly like the reprise at the end, singing along with the audience.

Love the Dexys. This is one of my favorite clips from theirs, just can’t understand why the mannequins in the audience aren’t ripping the fuck out of their seats.

Great stuff. Didn't they do one tour where the audience weren't allowed to applaud?

Now?, as the actual 'Performer' and the actual poster I have to wonder, is your post void by technical default?, this thread would need verification from said young lady, some sort of certificate of greatness or authenticity (shall be known herewith as the C.O.A.) to said performance, its a bit like Doc Medulla's post where verification of a Rock Lobster performing a B52's song, and the footage was apparently 'Maddenigly elusive', possibly tied up in red tape by the USA's Sea Life Trust for systematic abuse of a crustacean, allegedly.
So before your post is verified a C.O.A must be forth coming, sorry about that Bopper, I guess the only thing we can do is play you a song.....

I didn’t know that but it does sound mad enough to be a Kevin Rowland story!

The Germans always clap but usually on the wrong beat.

Hi to Maureen
Sadly, Maureen died from pleasure that very night.

I've heard a recent version he did with his solo band that was terrible. Too slow and he sang it in a strange American accent and forgot half the words.
