Gave up on it in about 1997, utter tripe.

Well yes but even by their standards how do they justify that.
The Specials wouldn't fit into the safe, cosy, corporate shindig they've got going on now.

Waste of space mate. For me Ray Davies is this countries greatest writer but no honour for him. The Brit Awards are plain crap. So many great artist has been overlooked in favour of pale imitations.
