I know that from the Dazed and Confused soundtrack. Is this open to debate? I thought the song was great.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

This takes me back. My dad would have about 5 cassettes in the car and play them over and over for about 10 years in total. For those interested the cassettes were Steeleye Span, 10cc, Wings, Phil Collins and a compilation which this song was featured on.

I always hated it.

Blues Traveler is utter crap and that song should be struck from the records forever. The soundtrack to way too many dippy 1990's middle class white hippies. I hate the song - and the band - with a passion. When he does that "Hey baby, lets keep in touch" line he sounds like he's having a heart attack. The harmonica is awful. The song just reeks of greasy food and bad drugs (and bad times).

This song - an English translation of an earlier French song - had originally been intended for The Beach Boys. They actually recorded a version - produced by Terry Jacks. When they decided not to release it - Jacks took it upon himself to punish the world with this piece of horrid crap...

This is the flip side to Seasons in the Sun - try listening without laughing so hard you feel like you want to puke!

Even though it's only a short song, I couldn't finish it. Says a great deal I think!

Great career move.

The song is fucking dire, though interesting back story that I had no clue about!

Music is ok. Each vocal is shit though. Enough to make me rip my headphones off anyway.

Ah a Smooooth FM favourite, I only get to hear this 4 times a day at work.

As a song, there's a lot worse out there, I'm not going to actively seek it to add to my playlist but I'll give it a good sing along whenever it comes on.

There is so much one could say about this song and video...but I'll just point out that Peter Cetera is wearing a Bauhaus t-shirt.
