Played it this morning. Explained to my wife that it’s a much bigger cultural touchstone in the UK, which baffling because it’s so good.Marky Dread wrote: ↑05 Jun 2020, 6:50amEasily their best number 1.101Walterton wrote: ↑05 Jun 2020, 3:18amInteresting article about Ghost Town

That is why it simply is their best number 1. It literally was the story of those riots. Towns up and down the country being smashed up. A backbeat to Maggie's shitty economic values and there being "no such thing as society".Wolter wrote: ↑05 Jun 2020, 9:48amPlayed it this morning. Yep it is a live snapshot / commentary of what was happening at that exact moment in time.Marky Dread wrote: ↑05 Jun 2020, 1:40pmThat is why it simply is their best number 1. Even comments on themselves not being able to play live due to the violence, “too much fighting on the dance floor”.

Yeah I have seen that it is another nice release but I don’t think I will be buying it (even at £32 which is reasonable).Marky Dread wrote: ↑02 Jul 2020, 10:18amI hope 101s wallet isn't empty!

I have all those albums already on vinyl and nothing new on the CD release unless you don’t have the albums e.g. Dance Craze.

Re: 2 Tone Turns 40!!
What they should be doing is a re release of Dance Craze (it has never had one) double album gatefold sleeve with all the extra unreleased tracks included.
Listening to them now it was be amazing.
