I nearly added that you should name the date too! Sadly Jimmy Saville was the presenter so we'll never see the whole show again.
8th November 1979.
Weren’t they still on the 2 Tone tour?
Correct and not sure.

Next question. Who had a hit with Don't Care under the name Klark Kent? (p.s. "Klark Kent" although technically correct isn't the answer I'm looking for :) )
Come on mateys
Is that the answer? I was gonna say S-club 7.
Sorry no, as Tom would say.

Let's make our own quiz for the evening then?

Just seen a TOTP documentary, so I'll base a question on that. What three two tone bands played on TOTP on the same night, and what songs did they play? Whoever gets it right first can set the next question.
Madness, Selector Specials

One Step Beyond, Rudie, on My Radio
I nearly added that you should name the date too! Sadly Jimmy Saville was the presenter so we'll never see the whole show again.
Lax while we are waiting??? isn’t the 2 Tone TOTP up on YouTube anymore? I’m sure it was at least the performances were?
Just had a look but couldn't see it. The program I watched showed most of One Step Beyond and part of On My Radio. They also showed the Specials in the Two Tone house/office in Coventry.

It was a part of that on the TOTP program. Jerry Dammers messing about with the paperwork and knocking the coats off the wall.

Not part of that one? I’ve seen that used in several documentaries.

It was bugging me all night, I knew it was a fringe figure in a new wave band so systematically went through them all. Question coming up.

Which new wave star had a minor hit under the pseudonym "The Colonel" with Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen?

Andy Partridge (in a pear tree). Nah it's Colin Moulding.

What Jam song is sampled backwards in "Dreams of Children"?
