Re: "Classic" 80's songs you can't stand!!!
Nostalgia is a defining criteria for me. Songs that would make me instantly reach for the off button instead fill me with warmth for taking me back to a happy time of my life. Odd thing is i know i was depressed half the time but can't summon those black moods anymore, like they never happened! I like a lot of very bad 80s pop but have no truck with bad pop from any other era.

I won't say I hate it, but it's mostly a meh song to me. Far more quality Prince songs than PR.

But that guitar solo.
Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

"Better Be Good to Me" is pretty tough, talking '80s stuff. Her work with Ike & Tina Turner in the '60s-'70s is boss as hell.

It's beyond awesome - it's preternatural. George Harrison said it was the greatest record ever recorded.Marky Dread wrote: ↑27 Oct 2019, 5:30pmRiver Deep is fucking awesome.muppet hi fi wrote: ↑27 Oct 2019, 4:35pm"Better Be Good to Me" is pretty tough, talking '80s stuff.
