Any Tina Turner song.
"Better Be Good to Me" is pretty tough, talking '80s stuff. Her work with Ike & Tina Turner in the '60s-'70s is boss as hell.
River Deep is fucking awesome.
Yeah, it's gotta be up there with Steamy Windows.
Pardon me?

I was just pre-empting Tom's reply. ;)

Karma Chameleon was fucking awful on every level, like some kind of insiduous Cajun nightmare. Their three previous singles were pretty good pop songs which made it more disappointing.

Yeah, the best of the three but I thought George did a good vocal job on Do You Really Want To Hurt Me.

It's beyond awesome - it's preternatural. George Harrison said it was the greatest record ever recorded.
River Deep was 1966 not in the 80’s.

I was just reminded of how much I dislike "Don't Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin. It gets bonus points for an annoying video too.

Surprisingly never a hit in the UK. We do have a bit of taste.

Love that song. It's fucking great. My hard rock cover band played that and in our repertoire of like 80 songs, that generally went over the best.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
