All of the songs listed are embarrassing and unlistenable, but thanks to eet week I do actually listen to Fingerpoppin
And, as I suggested earlier, the singer is someone we love. All (or almost all) the others are performed by sentient dung. Plus "Fingerpoppin'" is amusingly awful; the others are just awful (okay, BD isn't awful, but KISS are).
Real talk: the Kiss version of Black Diamond is the best song on here. It just isn't nearly as good as the Replacements.
Embarrassing confession leading up to a question. Are these two Black Diamonds the same song? Because while I love the 'mats, I have never actually listened to a KISS song (on purpose).
I’ve never heard either version 😳
Neither can touch the S Club 7 version

Yes the 'mats version of KISS song they made their own.
I usually trust your judgement mate but you are wrong on a biblical level.
I'm a huge 'mats fan. KISS just don't get close for me. The Replacements give the song an authentic ragged feel that is sadly missing from the KISS version. I'll give KISS 10/10 for writing a very solid track but only 5/10 for execution.

So.....they were drunk and playing badly? I assume that is what you mean by "ragged feel."

They were playing what needed to be played. How is your band so good when you literally can’t recognize good rock and roll? It’s like a blind man painting the Mona Lisa.

What a disturbing, yet perversely enticing, Duran Duran tribute album.

Not at all. The song by The Replacements has more edge and comes across more real. Which is also why I said authentic. There is no sloppy playing on Black Diamond.

Has anyone ever thought of introducing Heston to “the punk rock”?

I love it when you buy an album and it's everything you want and more on first listen. "Let It Be" has never Let me down. A beauty of an album.
