Can't say I'm a huge Rush fan, but I'm somehow shocked by this news.

I was semi-indoctrinated by my bass teacher when I was coming up, so I have a certain nostalgic appreciation. Was he ill or anything?WestwayKid wrote: ↑10 Jan 2020, 5:34pmOne of my friends is a big Rush fan and I went with him when they played Milwaukee back in 2013 and it was a pretty darned good show.

Oh, I hadn't been keeping up with the news, I thought they were still working. Maybe that's why they wrapped in not so long ago.
You have to respect them as a band. Not my cup of tea at all (other than the magnificent Spirit of Radio) but they played it their own way and had a rabid fan base.
They went on hiatus back around 2015 due to Peart's health problems, but from the article I just read it sounds like he wasn't diagnosed with cancer until just a few years ago.Kory wrote: ↑10 Jan 2020, 6:05pmOh, I hadn't been keeping up with the news, I thought they were still working. Literally the only band from Canada, if I recall.
