Re: Wednesday Poll #4 Best Song Ever...
Well I guess I just wouldn't tend to elevate Elton John over Dolly Parton or Waylon Jennings. I can recognize the talents of all of them even if I don't especially care for any of the three's music. But by all means take the piss out of any artist I do all the time and people here often come to the defense of those they like so in the end business as usual. I guess Dolly and Waylon's music is redneck as Elton's is pompous.

If my comments stepped over the line, I assure you it was unintentional and I unreservedly apologize.

No mate, you're fine. I'll just bow out of the thread as it seems my idea of humour doesn't quite measure up.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 7:12pmIf my comments stepped over the line, I assure you it was unintentional and I unreservedly apologize.

Yeah, I'll apologise here. I've been out of cell/data range since i made my post and almost immediately after submitting I realized it read as more incendiary and aggressive than I intended. I was really just trying to search for a bit of an equivalent, and it was probably too heavily weighted on my part.
Anyways, I do have deeper thoughts on the issue (or more, but maybe not deeper) but I should have kept my own promise of not saying more on the issue. I'll just close with my final reiteration of: the clash and dolly Parton have more in common than they have out of sync, imho.

Well I'm not doing another week without your input. As far as I'm concerned it's just a laugh deciding the 'best' song ever, as you'd agree. No need for comments like "bellend opinions." I'm sorry Wolt but don't think there was need for that.Heston wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 8:21pmNo mate, you're fine. I apologize if I offended you by pointing out you have terrible opinions, but I’m only trying to make your opinions less bad.

I've sent a couple of PM's out, this seems to have got a bit out of hand. Been a while since the last IMCTPMT outbreak. Let's hope we can stop the contagion.
