Hello,

This is the most surprising results thus far of any of these polls. Take On Me was the type of song responsible for MTV ceasing to play music videos as it's so bland. I'm equally surprised as no votes for Eye Of the Tiger from a strictly nostalgic viewpoint. This should be a poll for second place after Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
Maybe it says more about me than anything but I always wonder what the results of these (and all the other polls) would be if the condorcet method of counting was used. It's kind of a pain to set up and tally in a forum though.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condorcet_method
So the answer is "Rudie Can't Fail".
Either that or I'm trying to find a way to rig it so The Call Up is top 5.
 :approve:

Is A-Ha really going to win this thing? Seriously?
And Dolly Parton in second? Really?
You’re right. She should win in a walk.

Good call.

Someone's gonna have to break the deadlock or neither are through to the final.

Hello,

Please, no more votes for either - or my cousin Frankie Knuckles will pay a visit.

Yeah thar that specific song doesn't do much for me. I missed her listed amongst all the utter crap actually.

While not a huge fan I do recognize her talent and id be more likely to listen to her over any of the others.

I really can't believe Dolly is beating the Elton song. It's like the Dukes of Hazzard theme tune beating Strawberry Fields in a poll.

Jessie's Girl for me. Can't believe it has escaped punishment in this thread, it is awful.

While I certainly agree it isn't a great or even good song, fuck me it's miles ahead of at least half the shit. Fucking Aha has 5 votes?

I like it apart from that really shit lyric,

"You know, I feel so dirty when they start talking cute,
I wanna tell her that I love her,
But the point is probably moot."
