Wednesday Poll #6 Best Song Ever...

Post by BitterTom »

... on the work's playlist.

Mostly good this week. Like R.E.M but never fond of Losing My Religion and the as for the Elvis cover, less said the better. Other than that, not bad at all in my eyes.

Had to think a bit about this one. No monster track there, but a few decent ones. Cant fault Roberta so went with her.

I went with Asia. Quite like that song.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Cyndi, now and always.

Asia is an abomination, Heston, and you know it.

Little Richard, Cyndi second. Everything else is horrible.

This list has it all - the only good Depeche Mode song, Little Richard, prime Killers. This will take some thought.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Some good ones on this list and nothing I can't stand. I went with the Killers because they're one of the few bands (at this point) that my 10-year-old son and I both like. I've always felt they don't get the credit they're due, but they're a really solid band that can do the whole "arena rock" thing and not sound boring and cliched. That said, I could easily have gone with at least 5 other songs on this list.

Same

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Well, I mean, it's my second least favorite DM song, but I have to represent for my boys from Basildon. Next would be Tutti Frutti.

Those old rock and roll records are memorable and worthy but there's not much melody going on.

Get drinking and come back when you've had the required revelation.
