A lot of possibilities here, more than most of the polls. Only a couple that I'd never consider picking, but none that easily stand out for me, either. I went with the Byrds, tho, but only because they hadn't had a vote yet.

I went with the Byrds because it's a great cover. I usually hate voting against Philip Bailey on anything, but, even though I actually kind of like the song, I cannot vote for anything Phil Collins in good conscience.

My Bob-tendencies couldn't be overcome - went with the Byrds' most excellent cover. Could have gone for Whole Lotta Love, Band on the Run, Paradise City or, especially, California Dreamin' in a pinch tho. The rest of the songs are mostly pretty bad.

It was when it came out. As with a lot of Oasis, it's very much overrated and rather a dull affair.

Agreed on both counts. It's hard to think of a more successful UK band, and one that achieved a fair bit of critical acclaim, yet whose work was so bloody thin.
