Show us yer autographs
While scanning my gig tickets to put up on other thread (let's face it, we can't do much else these days) I came across my pride and joy of punk memorabilia - my Clash autographed driving licence (personal details obscured to protect the guilty [of defacing a licence]) and one of Mick Jones' picks. The pick was grabbed from under a monitor after scrambling on stage as the roadies came on to clear it after a gig at Sheffield Top Rank, and the licence signed after a gig at Bridlington Spa where the support band was Theatre of Hate, featuring Billy Duffy who I kind of knew at the time and allowed me to hang around in the hall until The Clash came out. Eventually they did and offered beers to the few fans still there and stood around chatting to us. Be good to see other people's autographs (Clash or otherwise) and any other interesting items.

I had the exact same pick that I caught at a BAD gig in 1986 but it got lost at some point.AudioAmmunition wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020, 12:17pmWhile scanning my gig tickets to put up on other thread (let's face it, we can't do much else these days) I came across my pride and joy of punk memorabilia - my Clash autographed driving licence (personal details obscured to protect the guilty [of defacing a licence]) and one of Mick Jones' picks. Before the show there were about 10 lined up stuck to the side of the mike stand, this was the only one I saw at the end, near a monitor where it had fallen, don't know if the roadies collected them all up.Heston wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020, 12:28pmI had the exact same pick that I caught at a BAD gig in 1986 but it got lost at some point.AudioAmmunition wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020, 12:17pmWhile scanning my gig tickets to put up on other thread (let's face it, we can't do much else these days) I came across my pride and joy of punk memorabilia - my Clash autographed driving licence (personal details obscured to protect the guilty [of defacing a licence]) and one of Mick Jones' picks. I've never even strummed a guitar with this, I like to know it's only been used by Mick.

Thats one more than me, have a Global copy with Joe's scribble on the front cover somewhere among the wreckage in the ravine of my storeroom-cum-office. Very jealous of these threads, as am such a crap hoarder!

The Boss bought me a Bill Lee-signed baseball years ago. The fucker signed it with a regular pen, not a Sharpie, so the ink is almost entirely faded now.

Re: Show us yer autographs
I like Micks signatures, quite elaborate and done with care. I usually expect these things to be barely legible scrawls. Pauls and Joe's are very legible but look more printed which isnt as impressive.

Got Robyn Hitchcock to sign a set list one time I saw him live.

A signed ticket from the night I met Joe. The ticket is fading but the memories aren't...
