Trivia Question

Post by 101Walterton »

I couldn’t find the appropriate thread but came across this piece of trivia which I thought was up there with the Lieutenant Pigeon question!!

Which is the only band ever to be knocked off the #1 spot by a band containing siblings of a band member?

Bee Gees/Andy Gibb?

I'm guessing might be somebody fairly obscure? Will take a wild stab in dark and say either Leonard Skynard or Van Halen.

UK or US number one?

Is it Scaffold and the Beatles?
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I don’t know the answer but it reminds me that when I was a kid I thought Rod Stewart had an identical twin. I saw him singing solo on TOTP and there was also a bloke singing in a band who was his absolute dead ringer. I didn’t know people could be in more than one band, I must have thought it was like you could only play for one football team!

I remember seeing Roxy Music on TOTP when I was really young and Bryan Ferry was wearing jeans and I was horrified I’d never seen anything like it. I thought he must have forgotten his costume.
