Which is the only band ever to be knocked off the #1 spot by a band containing siblings of a band member?

I can only think of maybe The Osmonds or perhaps The Jackson's.

Re: Trivia Question
I take from the question they're both bands, as opposed to solo artists, and one of them has two or more siblings. Not that that helps much or anything to be fair

They are both ‘bands’ as in both are not solo.Low Down Low wrote: ↑04 Apr 2020, 5:06pmI take from the question they're both bands, as opposed to solo artists, and one of them has two or more siblings. Not that that helps much or anything to be fair
Re: Trivia Question
I feel like this is one of those questions when I will realise I knew the answer, but only after you tell us. Are we talking early 80s/New Romantic era by any chance? And proper bands, so not Band Aid and whatever was number 1 before or after that?

Re: Trivia Question
Two bands both of whom had several hit singles so no one off Band Aid type scenario.
Re: Trivia Question
Thanks. Am I warm with the era or is that too much of a clue?101Walterton wrote: ↑05 Apr 2020, 2:16amTwo bands both of whom had several hit singles so no one off Band Aid type scenario.

A clue is that I find this fact more interesting that it has never happened before or since when you think of Osmonds, Jackson’s, Gibbs, Gallaghers etc than who the actual artists are.
Re: Trivia Question
Thanks, I'll keep thinking. I will also have to try to remember which New Romantic band, if any, had a younger sibling of another New Romantic band.101Walterton wrote: ↑05 Apr 2020, 2:27amNo not close.laxman wrote: ↑05 Apr 2020, 2:24amThanks. It wasn't the Nolans, was it? There were hundreds of them :)

Re: Trivia Question
Would it help if we were to think of the question more zonally than in terms of eras?101Walterton wrote: ↑05 Apr 2020, 2:27amNo not close.laxman wrote: ↑05 Apr 2020, 2:24amThanks.
