I've already given up. The Kinks, Oasis, and Radiohead are the ones that immediately come to mind, but none of them have a third musician sibling that I know of.
Probably the Beach Boys.
So a Carl/Dennis line-up (cos 101 said two siblings in the one band) and Brian knocked them out? That never happened, as far as I know.
Yeah I know. ;)
Dammit, we need to come together to push 101 into the sea!
I'm all for that. But wading through endless lists of turgid UK number 1s ain't my idea of fun.

The easiest(?) way to start is UK #1's by groups with two siblings in them. From there, find out who knocked them from the top spot.
I've re-read the question;

"Which is the only band ever to be knocked off the #1 spot by a band containing siblings of a band member?"

So I think we are looking for the first band with only one sibling and the second with two (or more) siblings?
Who knows mate. I think 101 knows a different English language to me.

That's what I deduced. Hopefully we can confirm by page 28 of this thread.

Don't give the answer out though, I'd like this to run. I have this vision of us still guessing in 7 year's time.

So the siblings are not related to the band replacing them at number one?

Like the Everly Brothers replace The Kinks as number one.

Ah, okay, so still look for a UK #1 by a band with siblings, but then look for the #1 that that band replaced.

Doc nailed it above. There are three siblings in question. Two are in one band, the other one is in a different band. The band with two siblings replaced the band with one sibling at number one in the UK.

Probably the Teletubbies or something.

I'm thinking there's about a 75% that those not from Thatcherania will say, "Who?"

Or AC/DC?
Ac/Dc and the Easybeats, but they're a different era, and I doubt AC/DC had a #1 single
