FINAL: Wednesday Poll #11 Best Song Ever...

Post by BitterTom »

...on the work's playlist.

100 songs been, 90 gone and 10 remain, let's now vote for the best one ever and move onto more interesting polls like 101s!

Still don't know how Dancing Queen didn't make it this far though..

Voted for Chuck, but "Friday" is the one I'd pick if the question were favourite.

Yeesh, all these are amazing except the bottom three. Not sure how the hell to vote.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Really great lineup of songs, but you can't deny Chuck.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Babs for me too after some thought. It's just so epic in spite of just being 1-5-4. Pete's vocals/the bridge are amazing as is the completely unrelated outro that works so well.

If you believe rock n roll began in 1964, you're obliged to deny Chuck. :shifty:

Ah, the live Strummer version.
I loved finding out why he did that; so he could get the first line of the song ready in his head.
