Close call between CtC and Waking Up w/ the edge going to CtC. Not by a lot. Probably something like 6 plays to 5. I have a cassette of Earthquake Weather that I've listened to twice.

CtC by far, because I have the brain disease

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

1. Cut the Crap
2. Higher Power
3. Earthquake Weather

I think Wally might have sent me a copy of Waking Up many moons ago, so I probably listened to it once.

Never heard the Havana 3AM album. Was never really interested in Paul's solo efforts.

Earthquake Weather by a mile. There's a few shit songs
Boogie With Your Children is the worst song ever recorded. But yeah, the rest is ok.

Waking Up and the Havana album were dreadful.

I've always been a tunes man so I had to go with CtC despite the horrible production.

CtC can only really be enjoyed if you can tolerate the production. I grew up listening to pop songs with a similar sound so I can tolerate it. One thing I know, there is a good album under all the bullshit. If only someone could isolate Joe's vocals or get hold of the multitracks.

That kind of production enrages me. I will stand down.

The CtC version is crap. I just tried again, reminds me of everything I hate about 80s music.

The version on that Strummer box said is good. So like many have said good songs poorly executed.

I don't think the production on This is England is as bad as the main bulk of the album. Yeah, it's got a a drum machine but I don't mind the synth strings that much. Guitars are a bit sludgy but passable. Massed backing vocals are the one occasion on the album where they kind of work. Joe's vocal makes it though, still a song I can happily listen to.

It’s one of the least worst produced on the album. It could’ve been a lot better, but it’s fine graded on a curve. Joes vocal works, though.
