I hate to gatekeep, but while that has some sort of dumb fantasy backstory or something, I don’t think KISS have the chops to actually be prog. I’d say “bad concept album.”

KISS can be whatever you want it to be, they're there to make your wildest fantasies come true.

Yeah, concept album doesn't mean prog. Prog is all about technique and superseding rock tropes. KISS have never sought to be more than a competent bar band with lots of spectacle. In that, they're the complete opposite of prog.

Ok, as long as I got to post the album cover and make a joke about knockers, I'm happy.

This is a generalization, but unless the album has at least 1-2 jarring time signature changes, I have a hard time with the prog moniker.

Or try King Crimson: “The Court of the Crimson King”
And 21st century schizoid man.

I dont listen to prog much, my older brother was into it. But King Crimson is tops for me.
Yeah that track is great. I chose the ones that might appeal to Tom not necessarily my choices.

Or anyone really, but hurry up, I've only got a few pans left. Though one did have beans in so may take a while after all.
Sorry was watching Liverpool lose in style.

King Crimson: “Starless”.

At 12 mins should be long enough for those tricky bean stains.
Albeit late, I'm tuning in now...

Slow opening, as expected. Sounds like background music to an episode of Hustle. Not offensive but nothing special now the vocals have kicked in. Does it even make sense if I say it's a little dull though very interesting?

Ooh it's changed in the middle. Even more Hustle-esque. Nice thubby bass. Like this. Atmospheric.

Going on a bit now...

Nice final few minutes, good to listen to. Thank you Mark!

A lot of prog just babbled on and is dull to say the least. There are some nice moments though.

If you get chance try "21st century schizoid man".

Yeah. I like a lot of prog but even albums I like tend to suffer from this. It’s generally in need of an editor.

Isn't this the guy that remastered XTCs back catalog?
