I just produced this track, you might remember this band from our Red...y cover for the CTC tribute. My vocalist wanted to introduce a more melodious element than we usually do for the chorus.

Nice work Kory, I like this new melodic development. That chorus is very catchy. And I like that three note hook that comes in near the end.

Of course the first thing I notice, "interesting hi hat rhythm." It sounds good, a lot more organic than the older stuff I've heard. Almost a late 90's neo-soul kinda vibe to it if that doesn't seem off base.

Of course the first thing I notice, "interesting hi hat rhythm." It sounds good, a lot more organic than the older stuff I've heard. Almost a late 90's neo-soul kinda vibe to it if that doesn't seem off base.
That makes sense to me, as a group we've been listening to Maxwell, D'Angelo, Badu, etc for years now. The more organic quality probably just comes from me getting better at programming.
