Swimmer - Ponces
Cool song, dirty garagey sound, should probably try some more but don't know if I will. 6/10

Action Spectacular - I'm a Whore
I thought the song started off great then got boring for a long time. The ending redeems it a bit, that part reminds me of Chumbawamba 4/10

Miss Derringer - Click Click Bang Bang
I lhave a new rockabilly chick to add to my playlist. Upbeat infectious and fun 7.5/10

John Grant - TC and Honeybear
Thus is not gonna be my thing, no numbers rating on this.

She Drew the Gun - Resister
Great song. What can I say I tend to like fast songs, and with great lyrics to boot. This will go on my playlist too. And will seek out more.

I too generally listen to the music and ignore the video unless it is live footage.

It's Clay Again, hallelujah, It's Clay Again...

Swimmer - Ponces (1995)
I like the rawness of the recording, but the vocals are lacking in charismaaaaaaaaaa. My favorite part is when the vocal harmony comes in toward the end, but there's not a lot here to inspire further listening. 5/10

Action Spectacular - I'm a Whore (1998)
This is ok. I actually liked the intro before the vocals came in, I think it works a bit better in the middle section. The rest of the song is fine, nothing really grabs me though. The song itself is too long to hold my interest, it might have been better to tack an outro after the intro reprise and call it done. 4/10

Miss Derringer - Click Click Bang Bang (2009)
Points removed for using a bass guitar instead of a double bass here. The song is fine, not a big fan of the lyrics, and the singer seems like she could use something to make her slightly more idiosyncratic. The guitar solo was pretty boring considering what they're trying to do here. The whole thing is just a little on the tame side, which I don't think fits with this style. 4/10

John Grant - TC and Honeybear (2010)
This is way out of my wheelhouse, I don't think I can give a rating.

She Drew the Gun - Resistor (2018)
This was by far my favorite of the bunch, good fuzzy/muffled production, good charismaaaaaaa in the vocals. Sounds big and bold. I'll check out more of this. 9/10

I already suggested a sensible means. I mean, I only ran the most error-free polling we've ever had. :shifty:

Whoever is the reigning nominator gets to pick the next person up from the pool. None of this alphabetical order crap.

And those aren't your logs, Geordi!

(Tell me Geordi and Gerussi isn't the next great sketch comedy show.)

I'm more upset they aren't all pre-1985.

As I'm already a DP fan I'm gonna sit this round out. But 10/10 for JB for picking 5 from DP.
