Who the fuck is next? You may not believe in this thread but I do.
Hello,

I'll echo Heston's idea. This thread has introduced me to a bunch of new bands - something I consider important.

It was a decent sprint, but as a group, we ain't marathon runners.

I also don't want to finish last. People point. And not in a good way. :disshame:

Jonathan Fire*Eater - Give Me Daughters - Fuck that organ sounds amazing. Love the mix on this, the drums also sound so good. The vocal is raw but a bit too off key too often. This would be a lot of fun live and almost something I really really like. 7/10.

Tiger - Shining in the Wood - Uptempo, energetic, great vocal arrangement, what's not to like? Nothing too groundbreaking, but who cares? 8/10

Aesop Rock - 1000 Deaths
Very verbally busy as you noted. I really like how the beat switches to that swing beat periodically. Kinda reminds me of Jurassic 5 a bit (but just one dude), it looks like this came out around the time I was listening to J5 so that makes sense. It's solid, but not my favorite type of hip hop. 6/10.

Renegade Soundwave - Brixton
The BAD influence seems strong as you noted. This one doesn't do a lot for me. I like the programming and almost dreaminess of it, but it doesn't do much for me beyond that. 6/10.

The Lovely Eggs - Wiggy Giggy
Some really good vocal melodies and a solid performance. The panning "wiggy giggy" brings it down a point, but this is pretty good. 6.5/10
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I gave up trying to get it back on track. One of the best ever threads just left to die.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I think Jen has bowed out from the thread, so you're up Captain Bavaria.

I'm missing a few reviews which isn't great as it's my thread, though it would be nice to start it up again and I'd certainly make time for the reviews this time.

Off to Kraftwerk City right now to get some coconut oil, but I shall post something upon my return.

I think I'll stick to my German-only rule, so be prepared for some aural Stahlgewitter.

Here ya go.

Nice homage to Rosa Luxemburg.

Not a Nina Hagen fan per se, but this is a decent cover of the Ton Steine Scherben classic.

Well, the song is in French but the topic is German.

I don't know anything about the guy except he had a hit with this like two years ago.

Seeed are Peter Fox's band. Always liked the original too.
