I saw them in Chicago back around 2000. They were a 3 piece at the time. They did not have a live drummer for the show, but they had recorded Steve Drozd play the entire set on drums and then projected it onto a screen behind the band. I can't recall what they used for the sound (might have been pre-recorded), but it was unique and effective.

I’ve always wanted to see them live. Their newest record is surprisingly great. The return to real full band rock instrumentation is well overdue. As much as I love the soft bulletin, Clouds Taste Metallic is my fave. Such a fucking mind blowing album. And some crazy guitar work on their too.
