Actually quite enjoyed the doc which surprised me a bit only because i'd seen quite a few negative reviews of it. The likes of Depp, Adams, Gillespie etc added nothing to the narrative i felt, but i guess they thought it might be a way of getting some coherent up to date contributions from Shane in there. Fair enough, just didnt work for me.
Nothing very new in it, but hearing about the break up of the band is as poignant as ever, how much it visibly hurt Shane. That quote - "we'd become a rock n roll band....we'd become the very thing we'd always despised", always brings to my mind the similarities of The Pogues journey to that of the Clash. Probably lots of other bands too.
Anyway, a solid 7/10 for me.
