Poll: Best Song From The Survivor Poll Winners
Poll: Best Song From The Survivor Poll Winners
Looked back at the survivor poll threads, great times though crazy The Clash one started nearly 2 years ago now. What, however is your favourite from the favourites?
Once again I'm coming across as gushing but Medicine Show is the perfect song, possibly my favourite ever and I'll never get tired of it. Complete Control misses by a whisker, a 9.9/10 for me and some of the best energy in a song I've ever heard. Get Down Moses is still great, cracking vocals and rhythm but there's a fair gap between this and the other two for me.
Though I'm anticipating a landslide victory for CC, how would rate these against each other?

Very much same
Addendum: What a nice EP those three songs make, tho
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

CC but I love Medicine Show so much.
Never understood the appeal of GDM.

Really? GDM has a good tune, great words and a vocal performance up there with Joe's best. He belted the hell out of it live too.

On the basis of how kick ass the early live GDM was i recall finding myself quite underwhelmed with the studio version initially. Learned to like it much more over the years though.

It's the tune I have the problem with, I just don't think it's that good. Just a bluesy, samey melody. I still find it hard to believe it won.Silent Majority wrote: ↑15 Mar 2021, 5:09pmReally? All three are great songs (shaking head sadly at Heston continuing to be Heston), but CC is head and shoulders above
