Heresy time: I like Moses better than Medicine Show. Not significantly better, and I’m not making an objective statement that it IS better. I just like it more.

Agreed. It's more affecting. MS is more fun, but GDM has an emotional impact that MS doesn't.

I dont see how its heresy unless we're in some alternative universe. I dont know the BAD catalog so I had to look it up (to even find oit it was BAD) . I had to stop like a minute in as I was getting flashbacks of that horrible Bowie/Jagger video.

Can someone just remind me of the chart positions of Medicine Show and Get Down Moses?

Who ever looks this up, also look up why it matters please.
Seriously I tried listening to that again without looking at the cheesey video, its painful and why does it last so fucking long 6+ minutes fuck.

You don't like pop music. I'm actually surprised you like the Clash.

Heston, please take this as good naturedly as possible, and in good fun: your priorities are rock fucking stupid.

Ok I was playing up to my rep a bit there but Medicine Show got voted the best BAD song by this very knowledgeable forum. To put it in the same bracket as Dancing In the Street is sacrilege. It is an awesome song.

To be fair, I quite like it and it probably is my favorite BAD song.Heston wrote: ↑16 Mar 2021, 3:29pmOk I was playing up to my rep a bit there but Medicine Show got voted the best BAD song by this very knowledgeable forum. Re: Poll: Best Song From The Survivor Poll Winners
So you feel that it wasn't good enough for single status? I feel it's a bit unfair to compare the three tracks all from different era's.
Complete Control released in the punk era and got to number 28 in the chart. Not that high really considering it's status. Of course The Clash not wanting to go on T.O.T.Ps didn't help the chart placing.
Medicine Show released in the 80s pop era. I don't know where it got in the charts but seem to remember it being on T.O.T.Ps. so top 30.
If Get Down Moses had been released as a single I doubt it would've charted very high or even at all. Due to the era it was released in but the same could be said for the other two songs if re-released at the same time.
I think Get Down Moses is great but not my fave Mescalero's track.
