You probably get tired of hearing it, but once again, thanks for all you do Marky, totally unexpected, but very much appreciated.Marky Dread wrote: ↑15 Jul 2021, 5:50pmI have fully remastered this. The deluxe set was a mess.
I will leave this up for one week. When it's gone that's it. Don't come pleading you missed it. You snooze, you lose.

Hello Marky,
Thanks for this! I'm not the most fanatic follower of Manic Street Preachers but I do like some of the stuff quite a bit. I'm interested in hearing this.

Thanks very much for this Marky, I've been re-visiting all my Manics recordings recently (probably due to this thread) and was missing the deluxe edition of this one. Looked online to buy it but for some reason the prices are crazy for this particular release. Talking of your top shelf, funnily enough that's where my Manics double deluxe sets live also! Cheers again.

Best you do. It sounds great now. Can't believe how poor the official remaster sounds.RockNRollWhore wrote: ↑16 Jul 2021, 8:37amThanks Marky. I'll have to add this to my weekend listening queue.Marky Dread wrote: ↑15 Jul 2021, 5:50pmI have fully remastered this. The deluxe set was a mess.

Re: The Manic Street Preachers Discussion MegaThread
I recently made a revised version of lifeblood. I always felt that was the strongest era for Manics B sides of their entire career, and thus swapped them out for many of the main album tracks.
This is what I came up with:
1. 1985
2. EMPTY SOULS
3. AUTOMATIK TEKNICOLOUR
4. PICTURESQUE
5. ANTARCTIC
6. 4 EVER DELAYED
7. TO REPEL GHOSTS
8. THERE BY THE GRACE OF GOD
9. THE SOULMATES
10. THE LOVE OF RICHARD NIXON
11. ASKEW ROAD
12. CARDIFF AFTERLIFE
13. DOOR TO THE RIVER
The last three songs kind of form a bit of Richey type chronology. I honestly believe that if they had released the album this way it would have been heralded as a late career classic. It's a hell of a lot better than TIMT, and SATT imo. Despite those records getting more praise.
Take a listen below:
Some of the B sides are shit audio quality because they were uploaded back in like 2006.

Generation terrorists might be worse. It was originally pressed at -8 DB but with super thick low end. Meaning it was both super quiet, and muffled by the bass. The remaster isn't much better.Marky Dread wrote: ↑16 Jul 2021, 8:42amBest you do. It sounds great now. I think the tracks they did for the US release were much crisper:
Moore doesn't even play on this it's some random session player. I still wish they would get the master tapes and allow Sean to record his parts on acoustic drums.

The GT remaster on the super deluxe isn't bad at all. Compared to GATS which is an abortion.RockNRollWhore wrote: ↑16 Jul 2021, 9:03amGeneration terrorists might be worse. Any chance of a US tour this time around you think?
They have to come here at least one more time surely.

Thanks Marky, for both your fantastic work but also spotting this. As a general rule of thumb, their duets are great.
