I'm usually pretty sympathetic to Aussie bands, but this one is just so outside my field of interest.

Saw some guy walking with his lady friend down at the waterfront playing Back in Black really loud on his phone as he walked along singing the song. It was all I could do to not punch him square in the face.

Yeah but if he had been playing Paranoid you would've followed that sucker all along the waterfront like some crazy assed stalker.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑23 Mar 2021, 6:37amIf it's too loud, you're too old, man!

Thought the trend of playing tinny music loudly through a mobile died (quite rightly) 10 years ago, sadly not.

This is a song that certain people feel they must play extremely loud to highlight how badass they are. I saw a guy at the gas station last week who was also playing it very loud.

I already gathered that he cared more about the freedoms his ancestors fought and died for more than you do.

Re: Poll Lotta Rosie
I think I mentioned this before, but the cover band I played in had about 100 songs in our repertoire and ACDC songs were generally the funnest for me to play. I just loved turning my brain off (vs. our Tool and Rush covers which required lots of paying attention, counting, etc.) and just grooving - playing a straight beat while the guitarist chopped syncopated chords around me.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
