I don't care for most of them, but I don't hate them.

Doherty had a great line about how you wouldn't hear Muse blasting out the windows on a council estate -- then added after a cinematic pause, "maybe they keep their windows shut."

The cat photo bombing the interview is priceless!gkbill wrote: ↑05 May 2021, 1:37pmHello,
I think I posted this elsewhere about the Flaming Lips. It's pretty clever but hard to pull off. I'd go.

Muse is kind of just a Radiohead rip off IMO. They have some good songs but really go overwrought with the whole technological dystopia thing.

I loved the first Pavement album when it came out, but it sounds super dated to me now.
Got a Rake? Sure!

I listened to a bit of Crooked Rain yesterday evening, and, yeah, uncomfortably dated.

How so though? It’s kind of just scuzzy alt rock music. Listening to 80s stuff like the cure is just as dated production wise and stuff but good music is good music.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑06 May 2021, 10:46amI listened to a bit of Crooked Rain yesterday evening, and, yeah, uncomfortably dated.

I can't say exactly. Probably because I was never a fan of Pavement I don't have an inclination to see the music for what it was, you know? BAD, for example, is clearly dated in production and style, but I'm far more charitable to the sound because the music means more.RockNRollWhore wrote: ↑06 May 2021, 5:39pmHow so though?
