Me too!! It's playing at one theater in town, but I'm sure it will hit the streaming services in not too long, too.

We watched the trailer last night and I was trying to explain to my partner who they were. It took her a moment to believe they were a real band  .

I love Sparks. Quite amazing that they're still releasing great stuff.

My favourite is probably L'il Beethoven.

I've never really been a fan, always thought they were too silly, but the trailer is making me rethink my opinion of them, so I'm going to have to watch for this when it gets released.

I saw Sparks 4 or 5 times in 81, 82, 83ish Saw them at a festival about 5 years ago, they didnt play ANYTHING form the LPs I was into (Whomp & Angst), but you cant expect a band with 30 records to play only from the 2 you like. Oh well. Still totally into seeing the movie when I'm able

I think this has been my only exposure to them:
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
