Re: Head On!
I think both a great, but I'm more of a Pixies fan, so goes my vote.

I have no preference other than for the one that is playing.

Damn, I missed that voting option. I have to agree, if either one came on the radio, I wouldn't be changing the station.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑29 Jun 2021, 6:17pmI have no preference other than for the one that is playing.

Hello, I've voted for all that is right and just in this world. I pledge allegiance to the state of rock and toll.

Reliably terrible.

Is this what Jesus and Mary Chain sound like? I didn't think they'd rock.
That being said, Frank Black tears this up. Gotta vote for Pixies.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Depends on the record. That album, Automatic, is one of their more straight-forward or conventional ones.

Nothing compares to Psychocandy, it you didn't get it when it first came out you don't know what you missed. To me Pixies are just "collage rock" as it used to be called. No comparison
Re: Head On!
I thought they sounded like drab early Cure. Like My Bloody Valentine.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑29 Jun 2021, 8:58pmDepends on the record. That album, Automatic, is one of their more straight-forward or conventional ones.
