I posted this yesterday in the YouTube thread, but I'm digging the new record from The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die (despite the painfully pretentious band name). They're definitely in the post-rock vein.

And I've raved before about Blankenberge, a Russian shoegaze group who are my favourite new group from the last few years. This is definitely my favourite song of the year.

Some interesting stuff there. The Alvvays track is my favourite, nice crisp polished sound to it. A pal of mine was raving about Fontaines DC to me 6 or 7 years ago before they got big, but I've just never been able to get into them.

Hello,

I like Fontaines DC but I understand they're probably an either or band. The Idles are good, too. I was going to put them in a Monday Bunch of Fives listing.
