Re: KISS vs. Swans: The Poll
I don't know, I tried to vote on the poll as i'm just seeing it now but, for some unknown reason, my mouse simply will not hover over either choice. Its like a Microsoft Ouija thing.
I'd vote for the Kajagoogoo option but i'm too shy shy.
I'll grab my coat on the way out ....

From what I see there's still a little hope

I listened to the first three songs. I really enjoyed the drumming and percussion. Obviously they were going for a sound and definitely succeeded. Not something I’m going to be in the mood for often.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Re: KISS vs. Swans: The Poll
To be fair, I'm not usually in the mood for that period either. It's direct and visceral and distinct, but it's … limited. I wouldn't want to be the co-worker of someone who says that record or the even more extreme follow-up is their favourite of all time.matedog wrote: ↑08 Aug 2022, 10:10pmI listened to the first three songs. Eh!
It was 8-6 and now it's 7-7. Who's the traitor?

Someone's fucking with us. Swans have lost votes a couple times already. I'm guessing Marky and/or Olaf are the pranksters.

Not me, I haven't even voted yet. I'm equally indifferent to both.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑09 Aug 2022, 7:43amSomeone's fucking with us. Swans have lost votes a couple times already. I'm guessing Marky and/or Olaf are the pranksters.

You say blame, I say credit.

Re: KISS vs. Swans: The Poll
I had temporarily tipped the scales in Swans' favor 8-7. Not sure what happened, but I'm glad it did since Heston would have never forgiven me.
