Simple question: What would you use to put a nail in the wall? A banana or a Dante poem?

As a woman, KISS makes me ill. Also, their music stinks.

Swans all the way.
Ehhh, to be fair, Gira has had some serious issues with women.

If you mean the rape allegation, that ended up being murky. She said rape, he said consensual but misinterpreted on his part. I initially leaned to her side until her bandmates came forward and said she had a history of making false allegations, and then nobody else came forward to accuse Gira of similar misconduct (as often happens). And when Gira's wife claimed to have text messages that indicated the accuser was making things up, the accuser quietly withdrew from discussion. It's far from conclusive, but it moved the needle enough for me.

That said, Gira hasn't hidden his demons and abusive behaviour towards those close to him. There's a track on his album Drainland, "You See Through Me," that contains a hidden recording made by his musical and romantic partner at the time, Jarboe, confronting him about his parasitical behaviour. The guy was a shithead but he didn't shy away from acknowledging it, and has worked to be better.

But between that and the nature of his lyrics and writing (mainly in the 80s), he does invite suspicion.

Sure! As long as they aren't thawed down the road.

Gotta vote KISS then, I guess. Thanks for your help.

I think it's fair that the confusing and perhaps crazy votes go to Heston's side.

I actually retract that statement I have way too much respect for brother Hes. Paisley was a right POS.

You're right. Apologies to Heston for our misplaced and unjustified jest.

I forgot about the follow ups on the Gira thing. But yeah, this seems like a not unreasonable take.
