The Trader's Den is shutting down

Post by weller259 »

The Trader's Den, a live music/ROIO torrent site is closing down after 16 years. I have obtained many great recordings from their site over the years and it seems like these type of sites are fewer and further between now. If any of you are members there, now would be a good time to go through their stuff and grab what you can while you can. I think the site will be shut down for good in 2 weeks so time is of the essence.

Shit, I saw it was down all day yesterday. Gonna get what I can while the getting is good, I suppose.

*Sigh* back to dime I guess (if I can even sign up again, who knows). I really liked the traders den. Felt more intimate (and easier to maintain a good ratio).

Just saw the announcement this morning, bummed. I think Dime has more punk and TTD had more "classic" type rock, but had more soundboard or FM sourced shows, which I liked. I've enjoyed both sites for years and it's really a shame they can't upgrade their software and servers.

New post on TTD saying they have a new admin and are not shutting down after all.

Yeah, great news. Although I blew through my data cap this month (using my free grace month) and my ratio is now all gone to shit at TTD, lol

Yes, I just saw that this morning, great news, we can't have too many places to find great rare recordings. I am glad someone else is picking up the gauntlet there and keeping their tracker going. Now all we need is someone uploading the full video taken at Bonds in 1981. lol
