Cracked Rear View gets all the play but the real heads know fairweather Johnson was the more complete album.
"Complete" is a very open-ended descriptor here.

True, but for me, they never matched the magic of their indie debut EP "Kootchypop." They just lost something when they signed to a major.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Band names I don't like: The Airborne Toxic Event, Hoobastank, Sixpence None The Richer.
If it helps, "Hoobastank" used to be "Hoobustank."

Also, I think Doc is a Sixpence fan. Not sure what he thinks about the name.

Helps what, specifically?
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Less a fan than I like a few of their songs quite a bit. The band name, I think, is a Bible verse and they're a Christian pop band, so, meh, whatever, the genre has its own tropes.

Wisconsin—the drunkier version of Michigan.

I'm saddened that you would think I have meaningful thoughts about Hoobastank/Hoobustank/Hooboustank.

As bad as Goo Goo Dolls is, I will go one more with my shitty local band: Hootie and the Blowfish.
At least I’ll always be able to claim Rick James when it comes to local Buffalo acts that made a name for themselves.

I recently read his Wikipedia page. Shit, the guy really had a crazy life – just an endless string of weird incidents and unexpected connections. He’s buried about 5 miles away from me.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_James
He was in an early band with Neil Young which is kind of crazy.
But NOT Crazy Horse…
