I'm going to be pretty basic and vote for Cheap Trick Live at Budokan.
Budokan is obvious, but I think one important factor is if the live album recontextualizes or some how alters your view of the original/studio material and I think Budokan is a great example of that. The studio version of I Want You... is obsolete after Budokan.
To the degree that you *never* hear the studio version anywhere. It's almost been Orwelled out of existence.
I was wondering when Cheap Trick Live at Budakon was going to show up. LOL

I'm gonna throw in Bob Marley "Live".

I do like the various live Dexy’s albums. The version of This Is What She’s Like on the Duke of York Theatre box set is amazing. I really like the Liverpool Royal Court Theatre too, plus the Projected Passion Revue live show.

I do like all of these. The version of Tell Me When My Light Turns Green at the Royal Court is probably my favourite, great show all round even if Kevin can't quite hit the high notes like he once did. I wish there were more live shows from 85/86 on you tube. They'd assembled a good team of musicians around the time of DSMD but have never really heard how they sounded live.

I agree with all that. There is an announcement due from them in the next few days. Hopefully a rearrangement of the tour that got cancelled last year.

I still think it's crazy that Charlie is only a year younger than Jagger.
